After years of trying to increase participation at Back to School
Night, Cambridgeport staff decided to try something new. Who wants to go
back to school anyway? What was the point? On September 25th
Cambridgeport families were invited to the first ever School Home
Partnership Night. The evening featured teacher-led workshops on a wide
range of topics from Easing Transitions to Online Academic Resources.
While some feedback from parents showed that they wished there was more
time with their individual child’s teacher, most were very happy about
the workshops that were presented, and eager to have more opportunities
to engage in these kinds of conversations. We’ve already started to plan
for the 2014 School Home Partnership Night!
