For the months of January, February, March, and April, students at the Cambridgeport School have been talking part in the following units during PE class.

January/February
Students in grades K-2 participated in both creative and rhythmic movements. During these units students were asked to explore sequential movement patterns, balance on different bases of support, and demonstrate the ability to transfer weight correctly.

In grades 3-5, students took part in a creative movement unit. During this time students in these grades explored rhythmic-sequential movement patterns and demonstrated rhythmic patterns individually and within groups.

March
We were very busy with the fitness and healthy body unit. During this time all students at Cambridgeport explored activities that improve fitness. Students in grades first through fifth also took part in fitness testing.

April
Students in grades K-4 completed a unit on striking and kick. In this unit of study students at the school focused on both hand a foot dribbling skills as well as the correct ways to use long and short handled implements.

The 5th grade has just completed a ballroom dance unit. The students in grade five learn and performed the following dances at the city wide showcase in CRLS high school gym; Meringue, Waltz, Salsa, Tango, and Swing.
