The third grade classes at Cambridgeport (AKA The Gehling-Lev Ensembles) presented their play,
No Taxation Without Representation,
on Tuesday, June 10, at the Central Square Theater. This play was the
culmination of their studies of early American History this year. In
preparation for the play, students researched and wrote about various
events that led up to the American Revolution. The passion with which
they acted in this play was a true testament to the deep learning that
this drama experience provided. This work was made possible through a
grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and through our ongoing
relationship with the Underground Railway Theater.
