This week, we are Spotlighting Flavia Reardon. This is Flavia's 2nd year as Cambridgeport School's Literacy Interventionist Support Specialist. Flavia's office is located in room 306 on the 5th floor. Flavia works closely with our teaching staff to support Literacy Instruction. Flavia also works closely with the literacy coach and Early Literacy Interventionist Teacher. Flavia is part of our Child Study Team, where we are revamping how we support teachers to enhance Tier 1 instruction. Flavia has made herself available to support all teachers with literacy instruction. She is a proud member of our school team and enjoys thinking outside the box to enhance student experiences.
"Hello Cambridgeport Family! I began my teaching journey as an instructional aid back when the Cambridgeport School was at its original location across the street from Dana Square Park more than twenty years ago. I came back to the C’port last year as the reading interventionist and am thrilled to be in this amazing community. I live in Boston with my two kids, Martina (17) and Felix (14), and our small menagerie (two dogs, four chickens, and one turtle). I love riding my bike to school and practicing Taekwondo in my free time. The reading interventionist partners with classroom teachers and small groups of students to give targeted instruction in reading and writing. I love my job!"
