For the second year, the Cambridgeport School has a grant for a Performing Arts Program, in order to give all students the opportunity to see or perform a play or concert. On December 19, the first grade went to see the play "The Light Princess" at the American Repertory Theatre in Harvard Square. The students made thinking caps before the show and got to meet the cast members. In addition, Knighthorse Theatre Company came on Wednesday, December 17 to give the students a workshop on how to be a good audience member. Both programs were very successful.
Every class will get to attend a performing arts program. Next up, the fifth grade will go to Symphony Hall to attend a BSO Youth Concert on February 6, 2015.
